Makeup products for beginners.

Assalamualaikum ! Hey everyone! Happy new yearr!
So, twenty seventeen is here! Have 2017 resolution to try on makeup and look presentable this year? Let me help you there sister. :)

I'm going to share, affordable makeup products for beginners that you can use for everyday simple look. We need to look presentable. Eventhough I'm messy and selekeh most of my days than being all dolled up and wear makeups. But, this is something you can wear everyday, for looking like you woke-up-like-this kinda face. All of these products can be purchase in Malaysia! So Malaysian beauties, lets do this!

The most important thing for making us look amazing is our skin, skincare is important gais, but not going to talk about that here, if anyone wants me to write about my skincare routine let me know! So yeah, skin complexion to be exact. Everyone is so pretty in their own way. So, to improve your complexion to be amazinngg, you can try CC Cream From Farmasi Colour Cosmetics (FCC). CC stands for colour correcting, it kinda gives a light coverage and colour correct your face to make the face looks fresh and flawless! If you want more coverage, foundation is for you. BB creams also tend to give more coverage than CC creams, because their consistency is much more thick. This CC cream come in 2 different shade. I'm using the medium to dark shade. Retail price for this CC Cream was under RM50. Eventhough it sounded so expensive, but this CC Cream last forever! I just bought a new one, since last 2 years, baru je habis. I even wear it almost everyday since last year! Impressive kan? Haha betul tak tipu. I pun rasa macam bila benda ni nak abes ni, masa dah hujung2 tinggal sikit.
How to choose the best foundation for your skin?

Firstly, you need to know what type of skin you have. Normal? Oily? Dry? Combination? Get to know your skin. As for my skin, I have a dry skin. Sometimes its so dry I have dry patches on my face! So, the trick is to do some research online, and read reviews on the foundation you want to buy. To make sure that the product suit your skin type. Most foundations in the market has labels what type of skin its for. So better check that before purchasing.

The next one, is choosing the shade to match the skin. This can be tricky for us sawo matang malay girls. But the tips is to buy the shade that are similar to your skin, or a little bit lighter than your skin tone and never go with the darker shade than your skin tone. The way you can test this is by swatching 2-3 foundations on your jaw/chin and choose which one looks similar to your skin. If you can't tell, because the all of the shades you swatched look like it does not match, try blending it in to your skin, pick the ones that match the closest to your skin tone, if it spreads too greyish or pinkish on your skin, it doesn't suit your skin tone.

I can only recommend the foundation that I like and suits my skin type! The best everyday look foundation will be Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation, I'm in the shade 53. You can get this from selected Watsons. The retail price is quite expensive, RM61.35 (on sale rn for RM52.15) but it's worth the money because it takes forever for it to finish. This foundation is great for dry skin because of the gel consistency. It is also light to medium coverage so it is very suitable to wear for a everyday look.

What else do you really need for starting up wearing makeup?

Lip products! Yaaas, the most important two things that I won't forget everyday is my CC Cream and also some lip product. Any lip product will do peeps! Lip balms, lip tint, lipsticks, lip cream, lip pencils anything! The lip product that I use everyday is Nivea Watermelon/Peach lip balm for moisture, since I have dry skin so my lips are extra dry too. Why lip product? So you wont look pale after applying the CC cream/Foundation. These two products are enough, kalau nak berjinak2 dulu hihi. Sometimes I wear the lip balm by its own because the Nivea lip balm is already have sheer colour on the lips when applying, but most of the time I will smack on Tony Moly Magic Lip Tint just using my clean fingers a little bit on my lips to makes my lips look so much healthier and gorgeous, you. LOL. Both of these lip product retail prices are under RM20 each!
Last but not least! *you can skip this step*

Eyelashes! Curling the eyelashes will open up your eyes to be wider and make you look AWAKE. It really give so much different to your face if you curl your eyelash! It's truuee, try it! Unless you already have very long and curly eyelash. You are lucky to skip this step haha. As for me, all of my lashes are downward going towards the ground. Asian eyes sangat. haha. I usually do this only when I have extra time to spare *since I always wake up late in the morning* and MASCARA! (depends on preference) It's quite troublesome to wear for us muslims because it's a little bit tedious when going for prayers. But, if you're up for it, just do it! Make sure you bring a travel sized makeup remover in your handbag or just buy the ones that are easy to remove using water. So that you wont be a panda after taking wudhuk.

Anddddd you're done! I really hope that everyone find these tips helpful for those who are trying out makeup and new to the makeup game. Haha. Takyah kisah orang kata apa, you do you. We can't stop people for judging, so just do what you love and makes you happy! Any questions please just drop any comment! I will gladly to help through your makeup journeys!

Oops. What happened in 2016?

It's been a long time since I post anything here in this big old rusty blog. Its been almost a year since I write. So here goes.

Wow, I don't know what to say. HAHA

So, its been a year since I've further my studies in Master of Science in Mechatronics. So far, I'm still in between dead and alive hahaha. On my 3rd semester now. Everything just flies so fast. Yaass. But I'm surviving. Need to finish everything soon. So wish me luck! May Allah ease everything.

I will start to update this blog regularly. *A way to procrastinate on my research* LOL

So, wazzaaaapp?
There's so many things happened in 2016, but I couldn't recall. Padan muka. Sape suh tak update blog. HAHA. The only reason I write because I easily forget events or moments. Teruk kan? Nyanyuk tahap apa tah.

Let's just recall what I've gone through this year! HAHA
2016, ramai orang kahwin. Fullstop. *i'm actually looking at my Instagram pictures to recall my memories*

I started my MSc at the end of last year, after I got back from my holiday in The UK. What is my progress? Its going good I guess? Hahaha. But I've experienced my first conference presentation ever. The best part was, the food HAHA. It was held at Hatten Hotel, so breakfast, lunch and dinner in three days makan mewah la. Hihi. Due to this matter, we can conclude that I've been loving food so much, and I've gained too much weight now.

I've been travelling ALOT in 2016!

SABAH AGAIN! Yess. In february this year, I went to Sabah again, with RO. I have uploaded a vlog in YOUTUBE. It's my first videography, so lighting tah pape. HAHA. Forgive me. You can watch it hereeeeeee

*ada kenduri kahwin x3*

In May, I went to LANGKAWI, just a weekend getaway with the fam, but it was FUN! It reminds me of my childhood because we went to the Underwater World, Langkawi. Bought so many chocolates too for my Labmates haha. Kirim mengunung coklat.

*ada kenduri kahwin lagi*

In July~ Hari Raya Aidilfitri, macam biasa sambut Hari Raya macam manusia biasa. *makan terlebih2* nah belanja gambar raya seketul.

Augustt! Heee. Travel lagi, this time I went to Medan, Indonesia. Fly across there to attend my second cousin's wedding. *kenduri kahwin lagi* Yeap, berdarah jawa, muka pun jawa buk, nggak apa apa sih. Haha. It was fun to reunite with my cousins. The last time we met when I was in Primary School. That's a long long longgggg time ago. HAHA. It was weird at first since we were talking in quite a different language eventhough it's quite similar but some terms are completely different and it's funny when me and my cousin tried our best to search for the word that we both understand what we meant HAHA. Language is not a barrier guys, you can learn very quickly. Or do signage je. HAHA senang.

It was lucky for me to experience the wedding ceremony in Indonesia. Well, actually there's not much of a different because Medan is more Melayu than Jawa, so the wedding is kinda similar to Traditional Malay wedding. Only the Akad Nikah part is a bit long and full of contents. I guess its because they don't have to take Pre-Marriage Course (Kursus Pra-Perkahwinan) so the Tok Kadi was giving a full on lecture before the Akad.
The bride and groom!

Medan has grown a lot since we went last time *according to my parents since I don't remember anything* lol the best part of this trip was.. THE FOOD.. of course. HAHA. Makan je kerja aku, pastu sedih orang asyik tegur gemuk. Nasi padang was awesome! Nasi padang is a meal when you go to the restaurant, they will give you each plate of nasi, and they will serve you every dish that is available in the restaurant. So your table will be full of different dishes, sambal, ikan, ayam penyet, telur, sayur, macam2 jenis lauk diorang akan hidang atas meja tu. So, you just eat the ones that you like, and you will just pay for the plates of dishes that you ate! Its amaaazing! *eye sparkles*
Nasi padang :3 Sedapnya. Rindu nasi.

After got back from Medan,

26 August 2016, Auni Nathasiyyah is born ! My newest niece! She's so cute, but sepet like her mom haha. She was so small when she were born! But now, haha she's so chubby and cuter and I even call her bebola Auni. Haha.

Before

After. Bos besar ni. HAHA kemain kau. *curi gambar dari ibu dia*

Hahaha so right now, I have five nieces! Five! I call them WONDER GIRLS. Eyy, geram betul tengok budak ni laaa. Haha.

SEPTEMBER!
Ehem. Travel lagi. Hehehehe. This timeee..
KRABI! Yassss. Negara jiran semua aku jajah tahun ni HAHAHA.

Alamak panjang sangat la pulak kalau nak cerita pasal Krabi. I will do one post just for Krabi~ Haha. Boleh la orang yang teringin nak pergi tgk tentatif dan aktiviti apa menarik kat sana ye tak? Ye. Tanya jawab sendiri. Bagus.

So, the last highlight for this year is that my sister and her family that studied in UK for PhD is back here in Malaysia! They're back for good. Heee. It was so exciting to see my niece again! She is adapting Malaysia very very well! Im so proud of her. :) Haha and of course, I was excited for my things that I ordered from my sis. LOL materialistic kan? Hehe. The time when the container van comes, it was so exciting to open the things that I bought. HAHA. Macam bukak hadiah untuk diri sendiri. Siapa tak suka hadiah kann? Hihi.

Haha wow, didn't expect it'll be this long. So yeah, that's my year. A great one. Alhamdulillah. Banyak rezeki dapat travel sana sini. Alhamdulillah. Kadang2 kita tak perasan bila benda dah lepas kan, bila tulis macam ni tersedar, dan rasa bersyukur sangat, macam-macam Allah bagi dalam masa setahun ni. Alhamdulillah.

I will be back blogging from now on, insyaAllah. Semoga tetap pendirian ni haha. Aamin.

My childhood dream.

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! I would love to share my childhood dream with youu! I had this dream with my best friend or we called it a mission when we were in secondary school. Secondary school is when my FANGIRLING time goes so wild and uncontrollably. I was obsessed. Those days, when HARRY POTTER is starting to be huge. Me and my friend made a mission that we could sell lemonade and raise fund for us to go to London together and meet Harry Potter cast, Daniel Radcliffe, especially. Now, think back, we were sooo childish. To think that selling lemonade could do the trick. Hilarious. Hahaha. Anyway, years pasts, and I even forgotten about this dream slash mission! My friend reminded me of it. Life happened and I finally got the chance and rezeki to go to United Kingdom. Visiting my sister, of course.

Oh how I love the people there.

United Kingdom. Wow. I still can't believe that I actually went there last autumn. I'm Malaysian, and it took me 13 hours flight to arrive the Heathrow Airport. I might gotten 7+1 hours age deduct, but, if think about the journey back to Malaysia so it has cancelled out that.

It was so exciting! Especially meeting my baby niece that is not a baby anymore! She's grown beautifully, and so smart and cheeky. Oh such a cute girl she is. And smart. I'm so proud of her, of what she can absorb the thing she learn in the UK for such a short while. She's amazing! I just hope that her amazingness will stay and continue to expand even when she's back here in Malaysia.

It was the first time I felt other weather than hot Malaysian weather.

The weather! It was autumn when i got there. Let me be honest, it was very cold even though it's not even winter yet. It was very cold for me la. Its just that I'm not used to it, perhaps. I like it there. It was awesome that we came at the right time, because it only rained for only for a few days when we were there. Athirah really does a good job in her Du'as that she wants hot hot hot sunny sunny day, everyday. So it was hot and sunny most of the days. But still cold though. I really made for warm weather I guess. It's just it's so cold sometimes, I don't even bear to wash my dishes because i don't want to touch the water. Even there's hot water.

It was definitely a great experience.

My sister and brother in law study at University of Southampton, UK. So technically I was in Southampton for most of the days. We went out on weekends. I definitely checked on LONDON !! I want to stress on one thing, the people there was super duper nice! Especially the people at pay counters. They're super friendly. I go to a lot of car boot sales, the people there, doesn't mind if you're checking out their items, and ask questions this that, bargain this that and at the end you don't wanna buy it, and they're cool with it. Unlike Malaysian sellers, like to judge and make faces when customers do that. 'Kau dah tgk, aku dah bagi murah semua bagai, pastu tak nak beli. Hamboi' Takpun buat muka tak puas hati macam nak bunuh or even, paksa kau beli jugak. Pffft. This is reality guys! Please seller out there. Tolong jangan desperate sangat please. Kalau tu rezeki kau, ada la. If not, its not yours la. Malaysian people lacks patience. I do too. A lecturer once told me, that its the hot weather that makes us like this. Nahh. I don't think so. It's our choice. Please change the way you live your life and please change the attitude. Kadang2 promoters kedai yang expensive pun macam bajet kau bagus sangat. Kalau kau boleh afford sekali pun barang tu, does not mean you can be a bitch about it and thinks that customer is not worth pleased.

In general. Let's improve our attitude guys. Attitude over looks. Definitely. x

5 Things I Find Therapeutic

There's so many therapeutic things that we can do to feel CALM and RELAXED. So these are my 5 things I find therapeutic, for me, at least. HAHA

  1. Driving! I just looove driving! People say, the often you drive, you'll eventually get bored of it? I don't know, I don't, lazy yes, but bored? Maybe not, yet. I find driving alone so therapeutic especially when the skies are blue, with puffy clouds and also when it rain. Just listen to the songs on the radio, and look around the world. Hmmm so calming. This does not apply when I'm tired though. I sleep when I'm tired and lazy.
  2. Eating good food, good food does not mean food that are expensive, and restaurant made. Good food is the food that I am craving or having the mood to eat. Kedai warung2 tu pun good food if i feel like eating there and bila dapat, and kedai tu bukak, it's like an achievement unlocked. Patutlah gemuk, semangat sungguh bila tang makan.
  3. Minyak Angin Aromatherapy!!! I am sooooooo cerewet when it comes to smells, any strong scent or bold scent I dislike them. Explains why I don't wear perfumes. Don't worry, I still smell good. I can only bear the scent of body mists and deodorant. Thank goodness I don't usually have bad body odours. For minyak cap kapak lovers out there, I'm sorry but I don't like the smell of it. It's more like I couldn't stand the smell. Tak tahan. Too strong. But there's this one minyak angin aromatherapy, i loooove the smell. It's definately good for stress reliever, headache and seumpamanya.
  4. Shower! I love both hot and cold showers, well depends on the situation, place and my mood for that day. Since Malaysia is a hot weather country, I still love hot showers too. After shower feels are the best! Then I go to sleep. Haha.
  5. Last but not least, catching up session, hanging out and talk so many things with my family, good friends and of course, the people i love. I'm a talker! Even if I'm sulking away and annoyed and mad and say ' Tanak cakap dah! Nak senyap je' noooope. You'll see me talking a minute later! Hahahahaha. And I laugh a lot too. Only applicable on interesting hardcore funny things though. My rants can be a 2 page long. Lol.

So, that was my top 5 things I find therapeutic. Some people like to pamper themselves on skin care routine like wearing face masks or whatever. I don't usually wear face masks, because  i don't find it calming or relaxing. Maybe its because i tend to get itchy on my face when wearing face mask in a period of time. Pastu nanti rasa nak cuci je . Membazir. So that is all! Leave a comment below on the thing that you find most therapeutic to do.

Been having a breakdowns and I'm trying to make it all go away, lots of love. X

Appreciation Post.

Thank you, my dear great friends that are always there for me, when I'm sad, happy, and when I'm at my lowest, and I'm already very short. Zzz. All of these people that are around me, just do exactly the right thing, when they don't even know if they're doing it right. My lovely support systems that I have is not what I, myself created, but it's what they decided to provide me. Thank you so much, for all the little things that kept me going. Lot's of love, from me. You know who you are.

I'm back, blogging. x
